The University of Michigan Medical School currently has more than 90 endowed professorships. Endowed professorships are the most important factor in recruiting and retaining the most highly sought physicians and medical researchers to the Medical School. A goal of $80 million has been set to allow for the establishment in perpetuity of 40 additional full professorships in the Medical School.
